About

flow-er girl noun / [flou-er gurl]

: a flower girl is a young girl who carries flowers in a procession. Most people associate them specifically with weddings, although technically they can appear in a variety of processions and events, and they are sometimes seen at artistic events.

Flower girls typically wear flowers in their heads.

Some flower girls simply carry flowers, while others distribute flowers to the crowd and others cook them and eat them.

The Trap/έ/ζῆν Collective (The Flower Girls) was

formed in 2011 by Eleftheria Kotzaki, Christina Spanou and Dimitra Stamatopoulou.

The collective creates participatory artwork that is a fusion of installations, performance art and happenings, in which the audience is invited to participate and become a part of the creation. The main media  that is used is food and drinks from edible flowers and objects of every day life.

The group is dealing with various versions of the table as a symbol, both a

meeting place and a field of conflict where food, conversation and family

values create an amalgam of a social microcosm.
